Last night, Seattle could not turn Friday night’s win into a winning streak as Houston took the second game of the series. It was Jose Altuve’s blast in the seventh inning that was the difference in an 8-4 victory.
Now we reach the rubber match of the three game set. A win by the Mariners would give them their first series win of the season. A loss and they hit the road for seven straight and still seeking a series win.

Game Highlights
-A Double and a walk in the bottom of the second inning gives Seattle a chance to open up the scoring and the hot hitting Tom Murphy comes to the plate. He could not come up with the clutch hit but Shed Long did and his single gave Seattle 1-0 lead. (1-0 Seattle)
-Josh Reddick’s double into the left-center gap scores George Springer and the game is tied 1-1 to start the fifth inning.
-After allowing two of the first three batters on base, Marco Gonzales gets the Astros Yordano Alvarez to ground into a double play to end the top of the sixth inning.
-Dee Gordon pinch hits in the bottom of the seventh inning and what appeared to be a bloop single that may have scored a run becomes an out at Josh Reddick’s diving catch turns Seattle away and takes a 1-1 tie to the eighth inning.
-Carlos Correa takes a hanging changeup the other way to give Houston the lead in the top of the ninth. (Houston 2-1)
-Seattle couldn’t come up with any ninth inning magic and now the M’s drop the deciding matchup to the Astros 2-1. Seattle (10-26) has now lost 10 of their last 11 ballgames and have yet to win a series this season. Houston (17-17) is now at the .500 mark but still trails the Los Angeles Angels in the AL West by
