Two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas hosting “Zeke-End” tournament in Tacoma
Two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas will be back in his hometown this weekend for his annual “Zeke-End” basketball tournament at Tacoma Community College.
Since 2017, Thomas has hosted the tournament in the summer, bringing Tacoma/Seattle area basketball players and players from around the NBA to the South Sound.
Players that have attended in the past include John Wall, Jamal Crawford, Paolo Banchero, Kelly Oubre, Nick Richards, Dejounte Murray, Kevin Porter Jr, Nate Robinson, Michael Beasley, James Johnson, Terrence Ross, Derrick Rose, Terry Rozier, J.R. Smith, Lance Stephenson, Kelly Olynyk, Iman Shumpert and more.
The tournament will include a live DJ, food, and giveaways. A portion of the proceeds will go to Thomas’ foundation, the Thomas Family Giving Fund, a non-profit that is dedicated to making an impact in all of the communities Thomas and his family have lived in.
Thomas played high school basketball at Curtis High School in University Place and was one of the state’s most prolific scorers. He transferred to a prep school in Connecticut for his senior year, before returning back to Washington to play for the University of Washington, where he was a three-time all-conference selection in the Pac-10.
Thomas was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the final pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He had his best stretch with the Boston Celtics from 2015 through 2017, when he was a two-time NBA All-Star.
