‘The last chapter.’ One last dance for Isaiah Thomas’ Zeke-End tournament at TCC
A decade of an iconic Tacoma hoops tournament writes its final chapter when Isaiah Thomas hosts his 10th annual Zeke-End at Tacoma Community College this weekend.
The two-day, pro-am basketball tournament features to-be-revealed NBA players, live music, giveaways and a Sunday barbecue. Thomas announced that Zeke-End’s 2025 rendition will be its last on Instagram.
“You don’t wanna miss the energy, the love, the hoop culture (and) bragging rights,” he wrote. “Pull up (and) be part of history.”
Tournament play is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in TCC’s Titan Gymnasium on Saturday (Aug. 2) and Sunday (Aug. 3).
Thomas, 36, rose to prominence as a 5-foot-9 guard with Curtis High School in University Place, becoming a three-time All-Pac-10 honoree with the Washington Huskies. A two-time NBA All-Star, Thomas finished fifth in 2017 NBA MVP voting with 28.9 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds across 76 games for the Boston Celtics. Selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 60th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft., he’s still pursuing his NBA career, last appearing in 14 games for the Salt Lake City Stars (NBA G League) during the 2024-25 season.
