Eagles GM Howie Roseman Addresses A.J. Brown Speculation After WR Moves
Rumors surrounding A.J. Browns’ future with the Philadelphia Eagles have been swirling since last year’s NFL trade deadline.
Recently, speculation regarding a possible trade for the superstar pass catcher reached new heights following a series of WR moves from the Eagles.
The Eagles signed veteran wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Elijah Moore to one-year free-agent contracts earlier this offseason. And last week, the franchise sent a 2026 fifth-round pick and 2027 sixth-round pick to the Green Bay Packers to acquire Dontayvion Wicks - who they gave a one-year, $12.5 million contract extension.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was asked if these wide receiver moves have anything to do with a possible trade brewing for Brown.
Roseman kept his cards close to the chest, echoing the same response he’s given to reporters over the past few months.
“What do you think the odds are that I’m answering this question any different than I’ve answered anywhere else? Like really, do you think that’s 50%? Do you think that’s 75%?” Roseman replied.
“A.J. Brown is an Eagle,” he concluded.

For now, the Eagles’ 2026 wide receiver room features A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, Elijah Moore, Darius Cooper and more. The position group is crowded, but Roseman said the team could still look at the wide receiver position in the upcoming NFL draft.

The Eagles hold the No. 23 overall pick in the upcoming selection process.
“The biggest mistake we can make is assuming we know what the team is going to look like a year from now, two years from now, and missing out on a player because we have a perceived need and then we don’t fill the need because the player’s not good enough,” Roseman said. “I think that’s probably a long-winded way to say that nothing that we’ve done up until this point will affect the evaluations we have on draft day.”
