Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird Just Announced They've Broken Up

In a stunning turn of events, WNBA legend Sue Bird and former United States women's soccer star Megan Rapinoe have broken up.

Bird and Rapinoe met before the 2016 Rio Olympics, but it wasn't until 2017 that they went public with their relationship. Although they've been considered a power couple for nearly a decade, it appears all good things must come to an end.

On Friday afternoon, Bird and Rapinoe released a joint statement announcing that their relationship is over. Not only are they no longer romantic partners, their "A Touch More" podcast has come to an end.

"There really is no smooth or easy way to share this news. After a lot of thought, we've made the decision to separate as a couple," their statement read. "This hasn't been an easy decision, but it's one we've made together, with so much love, respect and care for each other. We've shared a whole life over the last decade, through big moments and in quiet ones, and that is something we'll always carry with us."

"No bc April 1st was a while back," one person replied to the news.

"Fell to my knees," a second person said.

"Aww, sorry to hear this. Hope you both find love, peace, and happiness in the future," another person added.

We're wishing both Bird and Rapinoe all the best as they enter the next chapter of their lives.
