How Many More Points Does Tottenham Need to Avoid Relegation From the Premier League?

Tottenham Hotspur were in the relegation zone ahead of the match against Brighton in the Premier League.

Spurs were 19th with 30 points, with West Ham United and Nottingham Forest currently the other teams competing to stay in the Premier League due to the number of points all three teams have.

West Ham United is 17th with 32 points and will play against Crystal Palace next, while Nottingham Forest is 16th with 33 points and will play Burnley next.

Spurs took the lead against Brighton with a goal from Pedro Porro in the 39th minute, which temporarily saw them out of the relegation zone with 33 points. The goal made the team leap to 16th place as they have a better goal difference than Nottingham Forest.

In the 48th minute, Kaoru Mitoma scored the equalizer for Brighton, which made it 1-1 and put Spurs back in the relegation zone with 31 points.

How Many Points Does Tottenham Need to Survive?

Due to Tottenham Hotspur sitting below West Ham United and Nottingham Forest in the league table, they will need to gain 15 points in the next five games to ensure at least within range of those teams.

Spurs will need West Ham United and Nottingham Forest to drop points along the way to leap them, but they need to win games as well.

Spurs will be playing against Wolves away from home next in the Premier League. Wolves are expected to be relegated from the Premier League, as Nottingham Forest or West Ham United need a point to ensure not finishing last in the league table.
