Maryse Grabs Attention With Dress At WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony
In case there was any doubt, Maryse Mizanin reminded everyone that she's still a beloved figure in the WWE community.
Maryse joined the WWE in 2006 and quickly became a forced to be reckoned with on SmackDown. She had a big breakthrough in 2008 when she won the Divas Championship. Several years after retiring from in-ring competition, she returned to the WWE so she can join forces with her husband, The Miz.
"Using her wiles, along with her fierce French Kiss DDT finishing maneuver, Maryse rose through the ranks and created an impressive in-ring resumé," her bio for the WWE states. "Maryse's accomplished skills between the ropes also made the French-Canadian Superstar an extremely talented manager, as she guided a number of her fellow contenders to squared circle success. It is that experience that should be of great concern to the WWE locker room."
Though she's not shown regularly on WWE's programming, Maryse returned to the spotlight on Friday night.
Maryse wasn't inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but managed to go viral during Friday's ceremony. She wore a black dress that received plenty of strong responses from the wrestling universe.
"So gorgeous," one fan commented.
"Miz really won at life," a second fan wrote.
"And just wondering why isn't Maryse going to be in the hall of fame? She deserves it please let me know," an Instagram user said.
Who was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame?
As we mentioned before, Maryse wasn't part of this year's Hall of Fame class. Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles, however, were immortalized in WWE history.
"I don't have to be the phenomenal AJ Styles anymore," Styles said during his speech. "My job is to find the next phenomenal one."
The WWE will try to keep this incredible weekend going with Night 1 of WrestleMania 42. Fans can watch every match on ESPN's streaming service.
