Final Injury Report for Trail Blazers-Spurs Game 1: Will Victor Wembanyama Play?

The San Antonio Spurs are at home on Sunday night as they host the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

San Antonio enters Sunday's game as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference after ending the regular season with a 62-20 record following a loss at home to the Denver Nuggets last Sunday.

In Last Sunday's loss to the Nuggets, De'Aaron Fox led the way for the Spurs as he recorded 24 points, six rebounds and five assists while Keldon Johnson added 18 points and six rebounds of his own off the bench.

Now San Antonio will try to use home court to their advantage in Game 1 on Sunday as they try to grab a key victory over the Trail Blazers and take a 1-0 series lead.

On the other side, Portland enters Sunday's contest as they No. 7 seed in the West after defeating the Phoenix Suns on the road in the Play-In Tournament on Tuesday night.

Deni Avdija led the way for the Trail Blazers in Tuesday's victory as he ended the game with 41 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists while Jrue Holiday recorded 21 points, four rebounds and four assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Game 1 on Sunday night, both squads may be without one of their key players due to injury.

Trail Blazers Injury Report

For the Trail Blazers, they have only one player listed on their injury report for Sunday as they have ruled out guard Damian Lillard.

Portland has ruled out Lillard as he will miss the remainder of the season while recovering from a torn Achilles that he suffered last season.

Outside of Lillard, they rest of the Trail Blazers' injury report is clean as they will have their entire core available for Game 1 against the Spurs.

On the other side, the Spurs have only one player listed on their injury report as well as they have ruled out guard Jordan McLaughlin.

San Antonio has ruled out McLaughlin due to a left ankle sprain as he will miss his first game since April 6, though he has not had a major role in the Spurs' rotation this season.

The good news for the Spurs is that Victor Wembanyama is off their injury report and will play in Game 1 on Sunday after sitting out the final game of the regular season due to a rib injury.
