Major Punishment Coming After 'Wild' Fan Brawl At Yankee Stadium
The Yankees have been getting on the right track as of late, winning four of five games to get to 13-9 on the year.
New York had been scuffling for much of April, losing five straight - and seven of nine - at one point this season. It appears that the Yankees' struggles boiled over in the seats of Yankee Stadium, too.
A wild, ugly brawl broke out in the stadium on Thursday night, as New York fell to the Los Angeles Angels, 11-4.
It was ugly, per the New York Post.
Several men were involved in the brawl.
"A fan in a gray Yankees shirt comes flying into the frame from the right side to throw a punch at the two individuals, momentarily knocking them into the seats as the crowd yells: ‘Oh!, Oh!'" the report states.
"The fans in the red and white shirts regain their footing as a Yankees supporter in a Gerrit Cole jersey gets into the scrap. The fan in the white shirt starts throwing hammer-fist punches at the fan in the grey shirt.
"The fan in the red shirt is confronted by another patron in a blue Yankees jersey, who he clocks in the face with a punch and shoves him down onto the steps. As that's going on, the fan in the Gerrit Cole jersey appears to shove the other two fans to the ground."
In total, several men were involved in the brawl, with several major punches being thrown.
Major punishment is coming for these fans
The fans involved in the brawl can expected to be banned for life from both Yankee Stadium and, perhaps, all Major League Baseball stadiums around the league.
They could also potentially face law enforcement trouble.
The fight was caught on camera and, police could look to press charges, depending on the investigation.
It's a tough look for several grown men who paid $200 or more for nice tickets to watch the Yankees play.
