Rams Could Make Big Move at NFL Draft: Report
The Los Angeles Rams are not playing around.
Sean McVay’s team is already the oddsmakers’ favorite to win the Super Bowl next year in their home venue of SoFi Stadium, but the Rams aren’t slowing down.
After already upgrading their defense this offseason with the signings of Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson from the Kansas City Chiefs, they hold the coveted No. 13 selection in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft from a trade last season with the Atlanta Falcons.
A team as good as the Rams doesn’t usually get the opportunity to take a player at the 13th spot, and for McVay and general manager Les Snead, that might not be good enough.
Per NFL insider Albert Breer, the Rams are “sniffing around” on possibly using extra assets to move up in the draft to grab an even better prospect to add to their roster.

While the Rams have few holes on their roster going into 2026, they’ve been rumored to be finding another wide receiver of the future to pair with Puka Nacua. Davante Adams has one year left on his contract, and adding another weapon this year with reassurance for the future could be the play for Los Angeles.
Carnell Tate (Ohio State), Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State), and Makai Lemon (USC) are the consensus top trio for wideouts, and there’s a possibility that all three could be gone if the Rams stay put with their 13th pick.
If they move up, though, it’d shift from the Rams hoping to get the last remaining of the trio to getting their choice of the three they want to add to the league’s already top offense with reigning MVP Matthew Stafford at the helm.
McVay believed he missed out on a second Lombardi Trophy last season when they narrowly lost to the Seattle Seahawks on the road in the NFC Championship.
In 2026, he doesn’t want to be left with any regrets about how the Rams could have been better.
