Chiefs, Rams Among NFL Teams Linked to Free Agent Stefon Diggs
Former New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs is still among the NFL free agent wide receivers without a team this offseason, but it’s not expected that that will last all that long.
Last season, Diggs tallied 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns, courtesy of MVP candidate Drake Maye, helping the Patriots to a successful season that culminated in a Super Bowl appearance. However, the team cut ties with him once the season ended, amid off-field concerns, and to avoid a significant salary cap hit.
Meanwhile, Diggs showed he is still fully capable of helping the right team heading to the postseason. A recent report linked him to three specific teams that might be the most likely landing spots for the four-time Pro Bowler and 2020 NFL receiving yards leader.

Bleacher Report’s Doric Sam spotlighted the three teams that could add Diggs to their receiving corps, including the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s no surprise that they’re on this list, since they are looking to return to form in the upcoming season, and will need some weapons for a healthy Patrick Mahomes to throw to.
Diggs could join star tight Travis Kelce, who is returning for next season, along with receivers Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy. That would be a significant addition to the roster, as the Chiefs also signed Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III, who previously played for the Seattle Seahawks.
Another location highlighted as a potential landing spot for Diggs is Los Angeles, with the Rams. They surprised everyone several days ago at the NFL Draft when they chose Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson at No. 13 overall, rather than adding a wide receiver. However, they could sign Diggs to a contract, adding him to Matthew Stafford’s receiver group that includes fellow veterans Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
Lastly, the Baltimore Ravens could be the team that secures Diggs for their roster. Unlike the other two teams, the Ravens made a significant change by firing John Harbaugh as head coach. They hired former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as their new coach to try to guide this team to postseason success.
Signing Diggs would give Lamar Jackson yet another option to pass to, as he already has weapons that include Derrick Henry,
Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. However, Baltimore has recently selected several wide receivers in the NFL Draft, which may or may not indicate they no longer need to pursue Diggs.
Another indicator could be the Kalshi prediction market for Diggs, which suggests Baltimore is the most likely to sign him. However, other NFL teams are mentioned with strong prediction prices, including the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
