Joey Bosa Could Be Perfect for This Struggling NFL Team

It’s that time in the NFL offseason when there just aren’t a lot of good free agents remaining, and that makes the guys left extra valuable.

One of those players who’s among the coveted remaining NFL free agents is former Buffalo Bills edge Joey Bosa. He was with the Buffalo Bills last season, and before then, he spent eight seasons with the Chargers.

Bosa is a true veteran, in every sense of the word, and that translates especially well into the edge position. So, let’s play matchmaker and find him a team.

Joey Bosa Would Make a Considerable Difference for the Tennessee Titans

Bosa is still looking for an NFL home, and while an edge with his experience level is usually quite expensive, the Tennessee Titans could get him at a steal, since he had a so-so year in 2025 with the Bills. During the season, he clocked four sacks and a 17.5 percent pressure rate during his first eight games but only one sack and an 8.3 percent pressure rate on the remaining matchups. So, that makes him more reasonably priced.

Matt Okada of the NFL’s official website also links him to the Titans, noting that the 31-year-old is “best-suited as a rotational edge rusher.”

“Bosa played four of his best seasons for former Chargers DC Gus Bradley,” Okada adds. “His brother, Nick Bosa, won Defensive Rookie of the Year playing for then-Niners DC Robert Saleh. Those two coaches are now together, running the defense in Tennessee.”

He adds: “The Titans' trade for Jermaine Johnson II and draft selection of Keldric Faulk have vastly improved the top of the depth chart, but Bosa would be a strong depth piece. They also have a league-high $63.1 million in available cap space. There's at least one team that goes worst-to-first just about every year in the NFL. This move could bolster Tennessee's bid in the AFC South.”

Lord knows the Titans need help going into the 2026-27 season, and the lineage between Bosa and the Titans’ coaching staff is there. It would be a stretch to see this happen, but it would be a solid move.
