Packers Should Snag This Sturdy Edge Rusher to Pair With Micah Parsons

The hoopla from the 2026 NFL draft is winding down, and but that doesn’t mean the work is over. The Green Bay Packers are one of the many teams still on the hunt for players to round out their lineups, and there’s one free agent they should consider.

That player is Pro Bowler and edge rusher Haason Reddick. The NFL vet most recently had a stop with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he’s now an available free agent.

So, what makes Reddick a fit for the Packers? Two words: Micah Parsons. The team needs another veteran edge to pair with Parsons, and they could get Reddick at a steal.

Haason Reddick Would Beef Up Packers’ Defense

Reddick, who turns 32 this fall, has only clocked 3.5 sacks and 62 quarterback pressures since 2024, so his performance has gone down. But, he could still work for Green Bay, and with that decline in production, he may not be too expensive.

Matt Okada of the NFL’s official website also likes Reddick going to the Packers, noting that they should “put him opposite Micah Parsons in a Green Bay defense coordinated by DC Jonathan Gannon. You know, the guy who was coordinating Philly’s unit back in 2022, when Reddick recorded a career-high 16 sacks and 76 pressures.”

He adds: “With Gannon on the sticks and Parsons drawing all the attention on the other edge, Reddick could be unlocked for a renaissance season, and the Packers could field one of the scarier pass rushes in the league.”

Reuniting Reddick with Gannon could be pure gold for the Packers, and that’s a win-win for everyone in Green Bay.
