Cameron Young Has Been Married To His Wife, Kelsey, For 5 Years
Cameron Young is on the verge of a huge win on Sunday.
The longtime PGA Tour star is at -19 through 17 holes at the Cadillac Championship. Young, 28, is six strokes up on the field. He's one hole away from taking home a win - and a big payday - as the Cadillac Championship comes with a $3.6 million payout.
Young, a family man, has been married to his wife, Kelsey, for five years. The couple tied the knot in 2021. They have three children together: Henry, John, and Vivienne, and reside in Jupiter, Florida.
The PGA Tour has said that family is "everything" for the Youngs.
Cameron Young has brought his family on the road with him this season. That means finding a Catholic church to go to every Sunday morning - no matter when his tee time is.
"Wherever we are, we find mass to go to," said Young, per Golfweek. "That week it happens to be right by the golf course. So it's a little bit different pulling in in the tournament car, unloading my kids out, and having people kind of look at you the whole time.
"I get a lot of really, really nice comments, people saying, ‘hey, thanks for setting a great example for my children,' or whatever it is. Honestly, it's great to hear because I don't feel like that's the case all the time, and that's one area where I'm really happy to be able to bring attention to that part of our life."
He's enjoyed this time with his family. His young boys are very much getting into golf, too.
"I've got a 3- and a 4-year-old boy," Young said, "and it's kind of the first time they've had any interest in it. So that was fun just to get to see them trying something new and enjoying what I spend a lot of my time doing."
Young's family likes to keep things normal
Young's family likes to keep things down the middle and be as calm as possible.
"Our family is very even-keeled," his mother, Barbara, said at a recent event. She added that Cameron is "very serious about his golf, but being a dad is more important to him. People don't see that side. He keeps his family life pretty quiet and private, but he's a great dad."
The finish to the Cadillac Championship, meanwhile, is airing live on CBS.
