ESPN's NBA Draft Lottery Special Drawing A Lot Of Complaints

The 2026 NBA Draft Lottery will be unveiled on ESPN this afternoon - eventually, anyway.

ESPN's 2026 NBA Draft Lottery special began at 3 p.m. E.T. The event, hosted by NBA host Malika Andrews, is set to unveil the order of the top of the 2026 NBA Draft, from the No. 1 spot to the No. 14 spot.

But 10 minutes into the special, we haven't gotten to any of the ping pong balls yet. Unsurprisingly, fans have taken issue with the special.

"Only ESPN would schedule the draft lottery at 3 and it wouldn't begin before 3:15," one fan wrote.

ESPN still has to introduce all 14 teams, along with their representatives, on stage in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday.

Fans are unhappy.

ESPN viewers express complaints about the lottery show

"ESPN 15 minute start delay on the draft lottery," one fan wrote.

"Yea if I could watch the lottery without ESPN being involved in it that would be great," one fan added.

"ESPN...figure it out," one fan added.

"It's a disaster," one fan added.

It's no surprise that ESPN would choose to drag this out. Of course, everyone just wants the broadcast to get to the ping pong balls.

Figure it out, ESPN.
