Ronda Rousey Responds to Khamzat Chimaev's Criticism with Sharp Comebacks at Press Conference
As Ronda Rousey prepares for her comeback fight against Gina Carano for the MVP MMA Netflix card this Saturday, the hall-of-fame fighter took the mic at the upcoming event's final press conference and made sure to respond to former middleweight champion, Khamzat Chimaev, who recently called her out for being "ungrateful" to the UFC.
Before his UFC 328 loss to the current middleweight champion Sean Strickland, Chimaev posted a YouTube video of himself responding to Ronda Rousey's comments about UFC fighter pay, saying, "There never would have been Ronda Rousey without the UFC... I hate this. If they pay good or they don't pay good, who cares? When she was Olympic champ, what did she make then?"
Speaking at the press conference, Ronda Rousey made sure to refute Chimaev, while also making fun of his physical appearance as well as his performance against Sean Strickland at UFC 328.

Ronda Refuses to Hold Back
"F-ing cleft-lip Lincoln is just hating because at his press conference for his fight, people are asking about me and my fight because no one gives a sh- about his ineffectual wrestle-f- fests," Rousey said.
She then claimed, "People actually can't stop talking about this fight because it's so stacked and they're actually excited to see me fight because, unlike Kumquat, I have a 100 percent finish rate."
Rousey also explained that her vendetta with the UFC is not a personal one with Dana White, but rather with what the promotion has become.
"I would want to make something abundantly clear, and that's I owe Dana and the Fertittas immensely," Rousey clarified. "I would be caught dead before you ever heard me say a bad thing about any of them. But my loyalty is to them and not the company that they sold. I do not owe TKO's UFC a damn thing."
Ronda's Mentality Before the Fight
Despite her disrespect towards Chimaev, Ronda was actually incredibly respectful to her opponent, Gina Carano.
"If she takes me out and puts me down on the canvas, I think that she's going to be the first person to help me up, and if I take her down and tap her out, I'll be the first person to help her up," Rousey said. "We don't need to hate each other to give each other our best."
Rousey, however, wants to make sure that she gives it her all, even if it means maiming Carano.
When asked if she would hesitate to break Carano's arm if she is positioned for an armbar finish, Ronda responded, "I definitely wouldn't hesitate to break it, but I also wouldn't hesitate to put it back."
"It's kind of like a ‘wax-on, wax-off' situation. You don't really break it, you kind of just dislocate it," she explained.
Tomorrow, we will find out whether or not Rousey's next venture with Jake Paul's MMA promotion will result in one last win for her storied MMA career.
