Jaguars Set Record Straight About Trevor Lawrence's Haircut
For nearly a decade Trevor Lawrence's long, flowing hair has been a much a part of his brand as his on-field excellence. So when the Jacksonville Jaguars made their schedule release video and showed him with those signature locks snipped off, a number of people freaked out.
However, less than a day after giving all of their fans a nice little crash out, the Jaguars finally revealed the truth via a separate video they made: Lawrence was wearing a wig the entire time.
"I'm Trevor Lawrence and we're here doing the 2026 schedule release and this is not my real hair," he said before showing the process that they got to fake his haircut.
The makeup department shows Lawrence getting his hair tightly done into a bun in the back, then a bald cap was placed over it before a wig that looked nearly identical to his real hair was put over it.
Commit to the Bit
Jaguars fans applauded the creativity that went into the bit, though some joked that he might actually be better off rocking the short hair in the future.
"Good prank shoutout Duval," one user wrote.
"Oh thank Christ his aura is intact," wrote another.
"Prank of the century," a third admitted.
"My darling boy, I thought I'd lost you."
"Well done in the sense of engagement, but I feel betrayed that our schedule release was just gaslighting the fans as if it's April 1st, lol."
2025 was a rock solid year for Lawrence, who enjoyed his best season as a pro under first-year head coach Liam Coen. Lawrence went 13-4 in the regular season - his best record as a starter to date - throwing for a career-high 29 touchdowns and finishing fifth in the NFL MVP voting.
The Jaguars are widely expected to repeat as division champions in 2026 and potentially make the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since the 1990s.
