The Baltimore Ravens' 5 Worst Draft Picks in the Last 10 Years

Drafting is an inexact science. Even the best of the best miss for any number of reasons-injuries, poor scheme fit, off-the-field issues, lack of development, and so on. With the 2026 NFL Draft now in the rearview mirror, things should be quiet on the personnel side until training camps open in July.

With that in mind, it seems like the perfect time to go back over the last 10 drafts to identify picks which didn't pan out for each of the 32 clubs. Before we begin, let's set the ground rules: We're starting with the 2016 draft, so no players from the 2026 draft are eligible.

Now that we've established the parameters, here are the Baltimore Ravens' five worst draft picks of the past decade:

Dishonorable Mentions

  • LB Tim Williams (78th Overall, 2017)
  • WR Devin Duvernay (92nd Overall, 2020)
  • DE Adisa Isaac (93rd Overall, 2024)

5) DE Bronson Kaufusi, 70th Overall (2016)

Kaufusi broke his ankle in training camp as a rookie and missed the entire season. That set the tone for a short-lived career that saw the former BYU standout appear in just nine games, including only three with the Ravens, which cut him after two years with the organization.

4) TE Hayden Hurst, 25th Overall (2018)

While the 2018 draft was a massive success overall for the Ravens, landing them Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews, among others, it started with a thud. Hurst lasted just two years in Charm City before being traded in a package deal that brought the Ravens a second-round pick, which ironically turned into another player on this list.

3) WR Miles Boykin, 93rd Overall (2019)

Outside of Zay Flowers, the Ravens have had issues identifying and developing talent at receiver. That held true with Boykin, who never had more than 19 receptions in five NFL seasons. At least there were no exceptional wideouts taken after Boykin to make that pick look even worse.

2) RB J.K. Dobbins, 55th Overall (2020)

An absolute beast as a rookie, Dobbins' career was derailed by injuries. After appearing in 15 games in 2020, the Ohio State product would play in just nine games over the next three years combined. Now in Denver, Dobbins still flashes his talent, but he remains the embodiment of the old NFL adage "the best ability is availability."

1) LB David Ojabo, 45th Overall (2022)

A torn Achilles suffered at Michigan's Pro Day caused Ojabo to largely redshirt his rookie year, and he followed that up by appearing in just three games in 2023 before landing on IR. Ojabo spent the past two seasons buried on the depth chart and is trying to resurrect his career on a one-year deal in Miami. He's a rare misstep for one of the NFL's best drafting teams.
