'Final Countdown' To A.J. Brown Trade Starts As 3 NFL Teams Are Lurking
A.J. Brown remains a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. But that's expected to change - very soon, in fact.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter thinks it's going to happen soon.
"I've said I'm sticking to my guns. I've said all along I expect that trade to be on or shortly after June 1. I don't think anything has changed," he said this week, per Musket Wire.
But where will Brown end up?
The Patriots have long been mentioned as the frontrunner for a Brown trade. However, New England might not be the only contender.
Brown has been linked to three different NFL teams as the trade could be approaching.
Three NFL teams linked to Brown
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio is linking three teams to Brown:
- Patriots
- Rams
- Chiefs
The Patriots are the favorite, though the Rams and Chiefs could get involved, too. Both could be in need of playmakers.
"Some are still suggesting the Rams could make a run at Brown. That ship sailed in March, when the Rams decided not to proceed based on the available medical information - and when the Rams allowed $24 million in 2026 compensation for receiver Davante Adams to become fully guaranteed," he reported.
"If the Rams had done the deal, they would have traded Adams. It's not impossible for someone else to enter the A.J. fray, especially if the Chiefs are suddenly having misgivings about whether Rashee Rice can be trusted after his recent probation violation."
For now, though, Brown is expected to end up in New England.
