Top DFS Fantasy Golf Picks for the Charles Schwab Challenge

After last week's birdie blitz at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, the PGA TOUR heads to one of its most historic and demanding stops at Colonial Country Club for the Charles Schwab Challenge. "Hogan's Alley" may not overpower players with length, but the tight fairways, tiny greens and brutal "Horrible Horseshoe" stretch punish mistakes in a hurry. This course rewards precision, creativity and a strong short game far more than raw power.

With names like Ludvig Aberg, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler leading the field, these DFS picks focus on golfers built to grind through one of the TOUR's classic tests.

This article reveals my favorite target at each price level on DraftKings. DraftKings does not sponsor this content.

Justin Thomas ($9,800)

Thomas suddenly feels like the guy who found his old superpowers hiding in the garage. The irons are cooking again, the confidence is back and Colonial is exactly the kind of shot-maker's playground where JT can start painting golf shots like Bob Ross hopped up on caffeine. Coming off a strong PGA Championship finish, he enters a lighter field looking very capable of causing problems all weekend. If the putter stays even mildly cooperative, Thomas could absolutely turn this place into a personal highlight tape.

Ben Griffin ($9,400)

Griffin returning to Colonial feels like the guy who won the neighborhood poker game last year walking back in wearing sunglasses indoors. His game fits this course ridiculously well - accurate off the tee, smooth around the greens and annoyingly good at grinding out pars when things get weird. The recent form has been rock solid too, with a podium finish at the Cadillac and another strong showing at the PGA. If Colonial turns into a short-game survival contest again, Griffin looks more than ready to defend his turf.

Pierceson Coody ($8,600)

Coody arriving at Colonial feels like somebody rebooted a classic Texas golf story with turbocharged driver speed. His grandfather, Charles Coody, spent years trying to win here, and now Pierceson gets another crack at the family mission. The local favorite already owns a T5 and T16 at Colonial, plus he's been stacking solid finishes lately. He bombs it off the tee, makes birdies in bunches and clearly loves these bentgrass greens. If the hometown vibes kick in early, Coody could absolutely turn this week into a full-blown Texas sports movie.

Sungjae Im ($8,300)

Im feels like the guy who quietly walks into a poker game, says nothing for three hours and somehow leaves with everybody's money. The short game has been filthy lately, the confidence is back after another top-10 and Colonial fits him like a perfectly broken-in glove. He already owns multiple strong finishes here, and when this place starts frustrating bigger hitters, Sungjae usually just keeps chipping, scrambling and annoying the leaderboard in the best possible way.

Stephen Jaeger ($7,400)

Jaeger feels like the guy sneaking into the cookout with a fully loaded plate while everybody else is distracted arguing over the grill. The scoring has been rolling lately, the irons are laser sharp and Colonial is exactly the kind of course where precision players suddenly become dangerous. Jaeger already arrives with a T18 at the PGA and another top-10 in Texas last week, so the confidence should be buzzing. If he starts stuffing irons early, the birdies could pile up fast in Fort Worth.

David Lipsky ($6,500)

Lipsky feels like the guy who shows up to a long-drive contest carrying only a 7-iron and somehow still leaves with everybody's money. Colonial rewards brains over brawn, which is basically Lipsky's whole brand. He keeps finding fairways, dodging trouble and quietly stacking good finishes here, including a T9 and T16 the last two years. At this DFS price, he's the perfect low-key "lineup glue" - not flashy, not loud, just annoyingly effective for four straight days.
