Dallas Wings Update Paige Bueckers' Status Before Las Vegas Aces Game
The Dallas Wings continue building momentum early in the 2026 WNBA season, but injury concerns surrounding star guard Paige Bueckers immediately grabbed attention ahead of the team's upcoming showdown against the Las Vegas Aces.
Dallas enters Thursday night's matchup with a 4-3 record and fresh confidence after an impressive road victory over the defending champion New York Liberty. However, with Bueckers recently taking a frightening fall and dealing with lingering injury concerns, many fans were waiting closely for the Wings' official status update before one of their biggest games of the young season.
On Wednesday, Dallas officially listed Bueckers as probable with a left leg issue ahead of Thursday's matchup against Las Vegas.
According to Dallas Hoops Journal's Grant Afseth, Bueckers fully participated in practice on Wednesday at SMU despite appearing on the injury report.

Paige Bueckers Continues Outstanding Start To 2026 Season
The injury designation comes during what has already been a tremendous sophomore campaign for Bueckers.
Through seven games, the former UConn Huskies superstar is averaging 19.3 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds while shooting an efficient 52.2% from the field and 48.3% from three-point range.
Bueckers is also coming off one of her best performances of the season after scoring 24 points in Dallas' 91-76 victory over New York on Sunday.
She finished 7-of-13 from the field while knocking down all eight of her free throw attempts in the win.
The Wings have increasingly relied on Bueckers' scoring efficiency and late-game shot creation as the offense continues finding rhythm under head coach Jose Fernandez.
Wings Building Momentum Around Young Core
Dallas has quietly become one of the WNBA's more intriguing teams early in the season.
Alongside Bueckers, rookie guard Azzi Fudd has started showing flashes of the scoring potential that made her one of college basketball's biggest stars at UConn.
Meanwhile, Awak Kuier has emerged as an important frontcourt contributor during recent games, averaging 13.0 points across Dallas' last two contests while shooting nearly 89% from the field.
The Wings' recent defensive improvement has also helped fuel their rise back above .500.
After struggling defensively earlier in the season, Dallas held New York to just 76 points in Sunday's statement victory.
Las Vegas Presents Another Major Test
Now, the Wings face one of the league's biggest measuring-stick games against the Aces.
Las Vegas enters Thursday with a 4-2 record despite dealing with injury concerns of its own. Guard Dana Evans has already been ruled out with a left leg injury.
Historically, the Aces have dominated the matchup, leading the all-time series 46-36. Dallas is still searching for its first regular-season win over Las Vegas since August 2024.
Still, with Bueckers expected to play and the Wings beginning to build confidence, Thursday's matchup suddenly carries major early-season importance for both teams.
