Nika Muhl Sends WNBA Fans Into Frenzy With Swimsuit Photo
Nika Muhl is trying her best to stay upbeat despite being dealt yet another setback.
Muhl, the No. 14 overall pick from the 2024 WNBA Draft, suffered a torn ACL in October 2024 while playing for Turkish Super League club Besiktas. Unfortunately, she suffered yet another ACL tear earlier this year.
This time around, Muhl sustained this injury while representing Croatia's national team in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Qualifiers.
"Seattle Storm point guard, Nika Mühl, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her right knee during a game on March 11, 2026, while playing for Croatia in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket Qualifiers," the team said. "Mühl underwent successful surgery on March 31, 2026 to repair the ligament and will miss the 2026 WNBA Season. She is taking steps towards a healthy recovery and updates on her progress and return to play will be made public when available."
Muhl, who is in the early stages of her recovery, shared vacation photos from Croatia this week. Unsurprisingly, she received plenty of love from her fans.
"Absolute goddess," one fan said.
"God bless you enjoy the summer to the max," a second fan wrote.
"Nika why are you so fine," another Instagram user commented.
What to expect from Nika Muhl.
Muhl averaged 5.8 points and 5.2 assists per game during her time at UConn. Although she wasn't considered a prolific scorer, she was so impressive on the other end of the floor that she was a two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
The Seattle Storm weren't able to carve out a huge role for Muhl during her rookie season. When she returns, however, she'll have the chance to prove herself on a new team.
Muhl was selected by the Portland Fire in the 2026 expansion draft. Hopefully, she'll get the chance to make an impact for them next season.
