On Wednesday, the official Madden social media account revealed Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 27. The post featured the tagline, "The jump. The #Madden27 Cover. The future," before confirming that Williams had earned cover athlete status.

The cover image showcases Williams in a Bears uniform against the Chicago skyline, marking the first official look at Madden NFL 27 branding ahead of the game's full presentation.

Williams enters Madden NFL 27 after a highly anticipated start to his NFL career with the Chicago Bears, becoming one of the league's most recognizable young quarterbacks. He joins a long list of Madden cover athletes that includes Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Christian McCaffrey, and the late John Madden himself.
