2026 The Memorial: 6 Bets for Muirfield Village Golf Club

The Memorial Tournament returns to Muirfield Village, where Jack Nicklaus' masterpiece has a habit of exposing even the smallest weaknesses in a player's game. Unlike the recent birdie-fests on the PGA TOUR schedule, this is a week where patience, precision and surviving mistakes matter just as much as making birdies.

With a loaded Signature Event field chasing one of the most prestigious non-major titles in golf, finding value on the betting board won't be easy. These six bets target players whose form, skill sets and course fit give them a strong chance to contend at one of the TOUR's toughest annual tests.

All odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook and are subject to change. DraftKings does not sponsor this content.

Chris Gotterup First-Round Leader (+4000)

The guy swings driver like he's trying to leave Ohio entirely, and when it clicks, birdies start showing up in bunches. Muirfield Village is tough, but Thursday leaders here usually don't need to shoot something ridiculous. Gotterup has already flashed plenty of low-round upside this season, and his aggressive style is perfect for a one-day sprint. Trusting him for four rounds can be a little scary. Trusting him for one hot Thursday? Sign me up.

Jordan Spieth Top-20 Finish (+118)

Spieth and a top-20 bet feel like a perfect compromise. You get all the creativity, magic recoveries and occasional "how did he do that?" moments without needing four flawless rounds. Spieth already has seven top-20 finishes this season and three in his last four starts, so the floor has been surprisingly steady. He's also a proven performer at Muirfield Village, with seven top-20s in 11 appearances. Winning might require everything to click. Cashing a top-20 ticket? That feels much more like Spieth's wheelhouse right now.

Russell Henley Top-10 Finish (+150)

Henley just showed everyone at Colonial what happens when his irons wake up and choose violence. After gaining more than eight strokes on approach in his win, he heads to another course that rewards precision over power. That's great news for a guy who leads the TOUR in fairways hit and rarely makes a mess of a scorecard. Muirfield Village can be brutal, but Henley's accuracy, scrambling and bogey avoidance are basically the perfect survival kit.

Ben Griffin Top-5 Finish (+590)

Griffin is making a strong case for becoming everybody's favorite "why didn't I bet him?" player. The form is undeniable, with two podium finishes in his last four starts, and he nearly won this event a year ago after spending the first half of the tournament sharing the lead. Muirfield Village demands a great short game, and Griffin has been one of the TOUR's best scramblers all season.

Matthew Fitzpatrick to Win (+2000)

Fitzpatrick checks just about every box you want for a Memorial outright ticket. He's already won three times this season, owns three top-10 finishes at Muirfield Village and leads the TOUR in getting himself out of trouble around the greens. That's a pretty useful skill on a course that seems determined to hand out bogeys. Fitzpatrick also avoids big numbers better than almost anyone, which is often the difference between winning and finishing 12th here.

Keegan Bradley to Win (+8600)

This course demands great driving, and that's been Bradley's superpower for years. The recent results suggest his game is finally shaking off the Ryder Cup hangover, and when Keegan gets rolling, he's one of the few players at this number who can realistically beat the entire field. Nobody is pretending he's Scottie Scheffler, but at these odds, you don't need perfection - you just need a guy with real win equity. Bradley absolutely has it.

One-And-Done Play of the Week

If you play in a One-and-Done league, the idea is simple: You get to use each golfer once all season, so picking the right spot matters.

Patrick Cantlay and Muirfield Village go together like peanut butter and jelly, which is exactly why he makes so much sense as a One-and-Done play this week. The guy owns two wins here and multiple top-fives, and he seems to treat Jack Nicklaus-designed courses like a cheat code. Even better, Cantlay arrives playing some quietly excellent golf, with six straight made cuts and a pile of strong finishes against elite fields. He's also one of the best on TOUR at avoiding big numbers, which is a pretty valuable skill at a place designed to make golfers question their life choices. If you're looking for a safe pick with legitimate win equity, Cantlay checks every box.
