Giants' John Harbaugh Explains Why Knicks Are a Model Team for Coaches

New York City is buzzing as the Knicks make their first NBA Finals appearance since 1999, searching for the franchise’s first NBA title since 1973.

As the New York Giants prepare for their 2026 NFL season, new head coach John Harbaugh has his eye on the Knicks as a team to draw inspiration from.

Harbaugh, wearing a Knicks hat, explained why the Knicks are a “coach’s dream” while speaking to reporters on Wednesday.

“Watching the way they play, it’s fun because I think it’s instructive,” Harbaugh said. “You get an opportunity to see how a team can come together. A team, to me, that’s executing at the highest level - operating together on the same page with everything they do. Playing with a lot of confidence because they understand exactly where everyone’s going to be at all times.

“It’s like a coach’s dream when you watch a team playing the way they’re playing. It’s a fun team to watch.”
