Knicks Win 12th Straight Playoff Game, and It's a Good Omen

The red-hot New York Knicks continued their winning ways with a 105-95 win in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. They achieved their 12th straight playoff victory, which is a very promising sign based on recent history.

The last two teams to achieve this incredible feat are the 1999 San Antonio Spurs and 2017 Golden State Warriors. Both squads won the championship that year, and the Knicks have a chance to continue the trend.

They closed out their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks with three consecutive wins. New York swept the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals and finals, respectively.

Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns have consistently performed well. The Knicks have also received steady production from the rest of the roster. They have not encountered issues with scoring during their steak, and their role players contribute across the board.

OG Anunoby amassed 18 points on Wednesday to support Brunson and Towns. Josh Hart finished with just three points, but he recorded 15 rebounds and six assists. More importantly, they executed the right plays at the right time to complete a 14-point comeback and stun the home crowd at Frost Bank Center.

San Antonio is expected to play with some desperation in Game 2 on Friday. If New York can stay toe-to-toe with the Western Conference champions or remain within striking distance late in the game, they will have a chance to return home with a 2-0 lead.
