Carl Edwards Makes Prediction for Michigan Cup Series Race

While Carl Edwards isn't at the race track this week, he's still got thoughts about the Cup Series. Edwards, a longtime Cup Series driver with an iconic career, is still part of the Prime Video family, but not in a consistent role like he had last year.

Still, Carl Edwards can't just keep his thoughts to himself. So, from the cockpit of whatever private plane he is set to fly, Edwards gave his take on the race, and his pick to win.

"This week though, while you guys are at the speedway, I'm thinking of Brad Keselowski," Edwards said. "I was in the shop with Jimmy Fennig checking out some of the things that they're working on. I feel like they are poised to get Jack Roush and Ford back in Victory Lane, and at Michigan there's a ton of pride in that. So, it's a fast race track, lots of fun. I'm excited you've got Martin (Truex Jr.) up there to talk about it."

There has never been a Michigan-born driver win in the NASCAR Cup Series at Michigan International Speedway. It would be a very popular win with RFK Racing, Jack Roush, and Ford Racing. Getting the job done is another question, though.

Carl Edwards has competed against many of the current NASCAR Cup Series drivers. He is putting his faith in a veteran like Keselowski. Ford power in Michigan is hard to bet against, but the Toyotas and their intermediate package speed are almost unmatched in 2026.

This race is going to go green at 3:20 p.m. ET. We will see what the afternoon has in store for these Cup Series drivers.
