Jalen Brunson Delivers Powerful Message to New York Fans Before Game 3
Jalen Brunson is feeling the love from New York City as he leads the Knicks through the 2026 NBA Finals.
As one of the best players in the NBA, Brunson has the red-hot Knicks on a historic 13-game playoff win streak - taking both Game 1 and Game 2 against the Spurs in San Antonio. The Knicks are competing in their first NBA Finals since 1999, and are two wins away from their first NBA title since 1973.
On Sunday, Brunson was asked about the support he’s received from the New York faithful.
“The amount of love I’ve gotten from this fanbase and this city since Day 1, I think it’s grown over the years,” Brunson said. “I’m so thankful, I’m so honored to be able to put New York across my chest. I wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything in the world.”

Through the Knicks’ 13-game playoff win streak, they’ve won each of their last five games at Madison Square Garden.

“27 years since the last Finals game in this building and our fanbase is really excited - as they should be,” Brunson said of New York’s first NBA Finals home game since 1999. “But as a team, we have more work to do.”
Game 3 will tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET on Monday.
