Kurt Busch Issues Public Thank You Message For NASCAR Fans
Former NASCAR champion Kurt Busch has been a man of few words in the wake of his brother Kyle Busch's death a few weeks ago. But as he and the Busch family continue to mourn, he had a special message for the fans.
Taking to social media on Monday morning, Busch thanked everyone for all of the well-wishes and support they've offered to his family in recent weeks. He said he's been reflecting on memories with his brother and is forever grateful for him.
"Thank you, everyone, for the well wishes, support, & love for my brother and our family. I reflect back on the days Kyle and I raced anything we could get our hands on. I will forever be grateful for the memories we made, the lessons you taught me, and the brotherhood we shared," Busch wrote.
Well-Wishes and Warmth
Fans continued offering their well-wishes to the Busch family, highlighting the incredible way he's impacted the sport and their lives.
"The impact you and your brother had on motorsports is impossible to define. Competitive, unapologetic, brutally honest. Just like the roar of American racing engines at the track!" one user replied.
"Real sorry for the loss of your brother, Kurt. Glad you have all of those awesome memories. Would love to see you help Brexton along in his career when he gets older. That would be awesome. I'm sure Kyle is counting on it. Prayers up to the family, brother," wrote another.
"I'm so sorry for your loss. This world lost a great man. NASCAR lost a great driver. Samantha lost the love of her life and Brexton and Lennix lost an amazing father. But you lost your little brother and life long friend. God bless you and grant you all comfort and strength," a third wrote.
Busch passed away at the end of May due to sepsis brought on by a bad case of pneumonia. He leaves behind a legacy that few drivers in history can or ever will match.
