Mike Brown Shares Honest Admission After Historic Game 4 Comeback

The New York Knicks had lady luck on their side in Game 4, which head coach Mike Brown admitted is just what a team needs sometimes.

“You have to have a little luck in life,” Brown said. “You’ve got to have a little luck in sports. But you can also make your luck too. So you’ve got to have some natural luck and some luck where you’re going to make your own luck, and that was probably the biggest message.”

His comments came in regards to the game-winning tip-in from OG Anunoby that saw New York claw its way back to a historic NBA comeback after trailing by 29 points to the San Antonio Spurs in a 107-106 Game 4 win.

Brown said the historic comeback gives him the confidence that no matter how big a deficit the Knicks face, the team can find a way to win.

“And if we’re down again, which you hope you don’t get down that much, let’s just keep fighting. Let’s keep doing what we’re doing. But maybe try to do a little better. Make an adjustment here. Make an adjustment there and see what happens,” he said.

New York faced double-digit deficits in each of the four games of the series, but has a stranglehold on the series at 3-1 as it heads back to San Antonio for Game 5.
