Caitlin Clark Reveals Secret Behind Taylor Swift Decision

The Indiana Fever made it two wins in a row on Thursday night as Caitlin Clark delivered one of her most complete performances of the year. With Indiana hosting the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Clark led the way in a 114-106 overtime victory, finishing with 32 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds while making WNBA history yet again. It was her third career 30-point, 10-assist game, the most by any player in league history.

Clark's performance helped the Fever improve to 7-5 on the season, the sixth best record in the WNBA. Alongside Aliyah Boston, who posted 34 points and 12 rebounds, Clark became part of the first teammate duo in WNBA history to each record a 30-point double-double in the same game.

As impressive as Clark was on the court, she also stole the spotlight because of what she was wearing.

The Fever star debuted a custom Nike Kobe 6 Protro player-exclusive sneaker called the "Eras Tour," a colorful design inspired by Taylor Swift's record-breaking concert tour. The shoe featured a rainbow gradient across the signature snakeskin upper, transitioning through multiple colors with light blue Kobe branding and white detailing.

After the game, Clark revealed why she decided to save the sneakers for this particular occasion.

"These are my last PEs that I was going to debut, so I saved the best ones for last. But you guys obviously know I'm a big fan of Taylor and the Eras Tour was the best concert of all time."

She also admitted she was surprised by the reaction from young fans.

"I think they are pretty fun. I've never had so many people ask me for my shoes after the game today. Literally every kid was screaming for them and I felt bad. I'm like, honestly, no, sorry: I gotta keep them."

Clark's admiration for Swift is well documented. She attended multiple Eras Tour shows in Indianapolis in 2024 and has developed a friendship with the global music superstar. Swift later invited Clark to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game and has publicly supported the Fever guard's rise in the WNBA.

Now, after one of her best performances of the season, Clark and the Fever return to action for a Saturday road game against the Connecticut Sun.
