Surprising Dodger Has More All-Star Votes Than Any NL Outfielder

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages is a different player than the one who batted his way out of the starting lineup last October as his teammates marched to a second consecutive World Series championship.

All-Star voters are noticing.

Pages was the leading vote-getter among National League outfielders when MLB released its first fan vote totals June 15. He is one of six Dodgers on track to advance to the second round of voting June 25, and the only one of the group who has never appeared in an All-Star Game before.

It’s just another chapter in a surprising season for Pages, the 25-year-old outfielder who leads the National League in RBIs (56) while slashing .273/.319/.498 as the Dodgers’ everyday center fielder. He had four hits in 55 plate appearances in the 2025 postseason.

Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (first), shortstop Mookie Betts (second), third baseman Max Muncy (first), first baseman Freddie Freeman (first), catcher Will Smith (second) and outfielder Teoscar Hernández (fifth) are also in position to advance to the runoff.

Players on teams who reach the World Series often benefit from the surge of popularity in the year following their postseason runs. So it is for the Dodgers. Second baseman Hyeseong Kim was recently optioned to Triple-A with a .651 OPS (84 OPS+), but he’s fourth in fan voting - ahead of several more deserving starters at the position.

Ohtani, the two-time defending National League MVP, leads all players with 1,165,133 total votes. Other players leading all vote-getters at their positions include Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin and second baseman Ozzie Albies, and Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams.

The top six vote-getters in the outfield will advance to the second phase of voting. For now that group includes Pages, Hernández, Braves outfielders Ronald Acuña Jr. and Michael Harris, St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker, and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh.

The All-Star Game is July 14 in Philadelphia.
