Kentucky Basketball Reacts to Karl-Anthony Towns' NBA Championship

Karl-Anthony Towns played a massive role on the New York Knicks‘ historic run to an NBA championship, helping the franchise secure its first title since 1973 with an NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Towns averaged 13 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in the championship series, all while making life difficult for Spurs’ superstar Victor Wembanyama. He played as an excellent compliment to Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, who averaged a stunning 32.6 points per contest as the Knicks defeated San Antonio in five games.

Towns just finished his 11th NBA season and second campaign with the Knicks. He originally entered the NBA ranks as the No. 1 overall pick for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2015 draft, transitioning from his one-year collegiate career with the Kentucky Wildcats.
