Yankees' Aaron Judge Delivers World Series Message After Knicks Championship Win
The New York Knicks secured the franchise’s first NBA title since 1973 with an NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
This championship victory brought elation to New York City, which will celebrate the Knicks’ title with a ticker-tape parade on Thursday.
The Knicks were led to victory by All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson, who averaged an astounding 32.6 points per game against the Spurs. He closed out the series with a historic 45-point performance in Game 5, notching a 94-90 final score in San Antonio.
Brunson, along with his Knicks teammate Josh Hart, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before the New York Yankees‘ matchup against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.
During a recent interview with Esquire, Yankees superstar Aaron Judge was asked about the Knicks’ championship victory.
“A Knicks championship in June and a Yankees World Series in October would bring world peace,” Judge said.
