Parker Kligerman Calls Out Andretti as 'Disgrace' to Family Name After San Diego Race

Parker Kligerman was not pleased after the NASCARCraftsman Truck Series race at San Diego. The part-time driver and full-time broadcaster for the CW was livid after the finish with Adam Andretti. Andretti has driven a part-time schedule this season with Tricon Garage.

On the results sheet, Andretti finished P14 and Kligerman finished P18. But the Henderson Motorsports driver had a bone to pick. He confronted Andretti on pit road, and afterward, called him out when speaking to the media.

"No, I an when you've got guys like that Andretti guy, who tried to kill me three times and I felt he did a disgrace to that last name," Kligerman said to Bryan Nolen of Frontstretch. "I didn't know he was an Andretti, but he does a disgrace to that name, and I just uh, I don't know.

"Just wrecking for 28th or no reason. Now we have a destroyed truck because that idiot wanted to try to kill me, and for a mistake he made himself. It's just like, that's the sort of thing, rich kids paying to go run around and they have no respect."

Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports caught the confrontation on pit road. The two drivers exchanged some not so friendly words in the argument.

Clearly, these are two drivers who are not going to see eye-to-eye. Whatever happened on the track had Parker Kligerman furious, and Adam Andretti returned the energy more or less.

The P14 finish for Andretti was the second-best finish of his career. His debut at Atlanta this season, P12, is his best finish.

It was a bit of a race of attrition. An overtime restart decided things, with Layne Riggs walking away as the winner. There were more than a few drivers who walked away unhappy after the finish and this difficult street course that NASCAR cooked up.
