Tracking local golfers on the PGA Tour for Oct. 22-25

This week: Shriners Hospital for Children Open, Thursday through Sunday, TPC Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the field: Puyallup’s Ryan Moore, Olympia’s Andres Gonzales and Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley.

World rankings: Moore is 52nd, Gonzales is 296th, and Stanley is 420th.

2015-16 season earnings: Moore has $128,571 (10th on the PGA Tour), Gonzales has not cashed in a tournament and this is Stanley’s debut tournament of the season.

The skinny: Last week was an encouraging start to the new wraparound season for Moore, whose 67-68 weekend scores at the Open were one of the best two-round totals in the field. This comes after he ranked 143nd on Saturday scoring a year ago. He ended up tying for 10th (11-under-par 277). This is the middle event of a three-tournament stretch for the Cascade Christian graduate to start the new season. He won this tournament in 2012. … Gonzales missed the cut at the Open (1-over 145). Like Moore, he is a UNLV alumnus. Gonzales tied for 49th at this tournament last year. … Stanley has already had a big fall without even teeing it up. Last weekend, he married his longtime girlfriend – which is why he skipped the season opener in California. After tying for 10th at this tournament in 2011, he has missed the cut the past two seasons.

Tee times Thursday: Gonzales at 11:49 a.m. (PDT) off the 10th tee, Stanley at 11:59 a.m. off the 10th tee and Moore at 12:18 p.m. off the first tee.
