In the field: Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley, Puyallup’s Ryan Moore and Olympia’s Andres Gonzales.
First-round scores: Stanley fired a 4-under-par 67, Moore shot a 2-under 69, and Gonzales had a 2-over 73.
Positions: Stanley is tied for 27th, Moore is tied for 61st, and Gonzales is tied for 125th — all trailing co-leaders Tyler Aldridge, David Hearn, Mark Hubbard and Michael Thompson (7 under when play was suspended because of darkness).
Recap: Stanley’s first competitive round as a married man? A 67, highlighted by three final-nine birdies at No. 1 (wedge approach to 3 feet), No. 5 (9-iron tee shot to 10 feet at par 3) and No. 7 (near hole-out with wedge approach shot). … Moore opened with a bogey but responded with back-to-back birdies at No. 2 (5-footer) and No. 3 (5-footer). He then made 11 consecutive pars. … Gonzales had three consecutive bogeys at Nos. 4-6 to fall 50 spots on the leaderboards.
Tee times Friday: Gonzales at 7:04 a.m. (PDT) off the first tee, Stanley at 7:14 a.m. off the first tee and Moore at 7:33 a.m. off the 10th tee.
