Tracking local golfers on the PGA Tour for Nov. 19-22

This week: The RSM Classic, Thursday through Sunday, Sea Island Resort Seaside and Plantations Courses, Sea Island, Georgia.

In the field: Olympia’s Andres Gonzales, Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley and University Place’s Michael Putnam.

World rankings: Gonzales is 332nd, Putnam is 369th, and Stanley is 419th.

2015-16 earnings: Putnam has $65,600 (108th on the PGA Tour), Gonzales has $21,234 (164th on the PGA Tour), and Stanley has $19,968 (166th on the PGA Tour).

The skinny: Gonzales tied for 72nd (even-par 284), and Stanley missed the cut (1-over 143) at last week’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico. And now comes The RSM Classic — the final tournament of the fall series before PGA Tour golfers take a six-week break. Of the three locals, Stanley knows this area best, having played his college golf at Clemson and having lived in South Carolina. But surprisingly, his best finish here is a tie for 54th in 2011 (2-under 278). Putnam, who tied for 15th at the Sanderson Farms Championship two weeks ago, actually has the top showing at The RSM Classic among these locals, tying for 48th in 2013 (even-par 280).

Tee times Thursday: Putnam at 6 a.m. (PST) off Plantation’s No. 10 tee, Gonzales at 7:10 a.m. off Seaside’s No. 1 tee and Stanley at 7:20 a.m. off Plantation’s No. 10 tee.
