UW Huskies add commitment from 2022 defensive back from Texas

The Washington Huskies have added another commitment to their 2022 class with National Signing Day quickly approaching.

Jaivion Green, a defensive back at Lamar High School (Houston, Texas), announced his commitment to UW on social media Monday morning following an official visit to Seattle last weekend.

Green, listed by 247Sports.com as a 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety, held offers from nine other programs, including Bucknell, Connecticut, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Howard, Illinois State, Missouri State, Pennsylvania and Yale.

Green’s commitment brings the Huskies’ 2022 high school signing class to seven recruits. He and Fordson (Dearborn, Mich.) defensive linemen Armon and Jayvon Parker are expect to sign with the Huskies on Wednesday.

The four other high school seniors in this class — Saguaro (Scottsdale, Ariz.) offensive lineman Parker Brailsford, Tumwater tight end Ryan Otton, Desert Ridge (Mesa, Ariz.) edge rusher Lance Holtzclaw and Emerald Ridge wide receiver Denzel Boston — signed during December’s early period.
