Tracking Ryan Moore on the PGA Tour

Moore’s third-round score: 6-under-par 66

Position: Moore (14-under 202) is tied for 10th, six strokes behind co-leaders Brendan Steele and Justin Thomas (20-under 196).

Recap: Moore is having a fabulous tournament, but has to go low – maybe 62 – to have a shot to win his third CIMB Classic in a row. He got off to a sizzling start with birdies at the first four holes. He bogeyed Nos. 7 and 9, but made four more birdies on the back nine, including a wedge approach at the short par-4 17th hole that left him 2 feet below the hole.

Tee time Saturday: 6:25 p.m. PDT Saturday off the first tee.
