Prep soccer: Kaysie Bruce’s game-winning goal keeps Gig Harbor unbeaten with 4-3 win over Central Kitsap

Gig Harbor 4, Central Kitsap 3: A costly mistake by the Cougars allowed the Tides to remain on top of the 3A PCL.

Despite CK’s Lauren Hudson scoring in the fourth, 20th and 27th minutes — an own goal during the 52nd minute tied the game up for the Tides.

Kaysie Bruce would break that tie in the 79th minute to give Gig Harbor the victory.

Leahi Manthei scored the first two goals for Gig Harbor.

Stadium 9, Mount Tahoma 0: Earning their fifth straight win and third consecutive shutout, the Tigers blanked the Thunderbirds with Kate Nelson in the net.

Makenzie Burks scored in the first minute and in the 22nd minute. Burks completed the hat trick in the 44th minute.

Kiara Rivera scored in the 35th, 39th, and 70th minutes.

Also scoring for Stadium were Nyah Rivera in the 38th minute, Ruby Gellner in the 60th and Samantha Putnam in the 68th.

Stadium will next face another undefeated team, Wilson (3-0-2 in league play).

Olympia 5, Graham-Kapowsin 0: Jenna Killman scored four goals to lead the Bears (7-1, 7-1) past the Eagles (0-7, 0-7).

Killman’s goals came in order, and she scored off assists from four different teammates.

Carly Becker and Madison Hunter shared time in goal for Olympia. Rosie Augsburger had a pair of assists.

Olympia sits atop the 4A SPSL girls standings.

Auburn Riverside 2, Auburn Mountainview 0: Katelyn Brown and Natalie Raum of the Ravens (5-1, 4-1) combined to shut out the Lions (2-3, 2-3).

Rylie Tew scored in the 34th minute off an assist from Aubrie Baylie. Later, Cierra Enlow sent a pass to Patricia Phithamma, who scored the second goal.

Bonney Lake 5, Lincoln 1: The Panthers (4-1-2, 3-1-1) pounced on the Abes (0-6, 0-6), scoring four goals in the first half.

Bonney Lake scored three goals in the first 10 minutes. Kaylee Coatney was pass happy for Bonney Lake, dishing out three assists, and she scored a goal. Jasmine Smith scored twice for the Panthers.

Karen Antonio scored for Lincoln in the 38th minute.

BOYS SOCCER

Evergreen Lutheran 4, Mount Rainier Lutheran 2: Brian Jo had two goals for the Eagles (2-2, 2-1) as they defeated the Hawks (0-5, 0-3).

Liam Peterson got the scoring started for the Eagles with a goal in the first minute. Jo scored his first goal in the seventh minute and his second in the 47th. Andrew Yang capped the scoring for the Eagles in the 55th minute.

Jack Shannon scored both goals for Mount Rainier Lutheran. Shannon scored a minute into the second half and again on a penalty kick in the 70th minute.
