Winner of The News Tribune’s Athlete of the Week (Jan. 9 to 14)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s high school Athlete of the Week (Jan. 2 to 7) poll. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Kiara Stone, Bellarmine Prep girls basketball

Stone scored a team-high 18 points for the Lions in a key 4A SPSL North win over Sumner.

Ray Adams, North Thurston boys basketball, jr. — Scored 15 points and added seven rebounds, three steals and five blocks in a loss to Timberline, and had 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks in a win over Capital.

Luke Brewer, Tumwater boys basketball, sr. — Scored 30 points and added three rebounds and five assists in a win over W.F. West, and had 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Shelton.

Regan Brewer, Tumwater girls basketball, jr. — Scored 10 points and added eight rebounds, two assists and five steals in a loss to W.F. West, and had 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals in a win over Shelton.

Kyle Cox, Eatonville boys basketball, sr. — Recorded two double-doubles with 11 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and two steals in a win over Tenino, and 24 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, four steals and two blocks in a win over Hoquiam.

Aaliyah Clemons, Bethel girls basketball, sr. — Scored 16 points and added four assists in a win over Olympia.

Adam Davis, Tahoma boys basketball, jr. — Scored 20 points in a win over Auburn Mountainview and 17 points in a win over Auburn Riverside.

Morgan Greene, White River girls basketball, sr. — Scored 15 points in a win over rival Enumclaw.

Hope Hassmann, Tahoma girls basketball, sr. — Scored 28 points and added three rebounds, six assists and five steals in a win over Auburn Mountainview, and had 19 points, two rebounds, nine assists and five steals in a win over Auburn Riverside.

Kayla Heidelberg, Peninsula girls basketball, jr. — Scored 20 points and added two assists and three steals in a win over Gig Harbor, and had 19 points and five rebounds in a win over Central Kitsap.

Brooklyn Hicks, Timberline boys basketball, sr. — Scored 30 points and added 11 rebounds, eight assists and three steals in a win over Yelm, had 26 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and eight steals in a win over North Thurston, and 26 points, four rebounds and two steals in a win over River Ridge.

Lainee Houillon, Sumner girls basketball, jr. — Scored 22 points and added five steals and seven rebounds in a win over Emerald Ridge, and had 22 points in a loss to Bellarmine Prep.

McKenna Jacobs, Silas girls basketball, sr. — Scored 31 points and added four rebounds, two assists and four steals in a win over Stadium.

Zach Luz, Mount Rainier boys basketball, jr. — Scored 13 points and added nine rebounds and two steals in a win over Auburn Riverside, and had 16 points, 11 rebounds and two assists in a win over Kentlake.

Soraya Ogaldez, North Thurston girls basketball, soph. — Scored 16 points and added three rebounds and eight steals in a win over Black Hills, had 28 points, six rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a win over Timberline, and seven points, six rebounds and four assists in a win over Capital.

Foai Pula, Bethel girls basketball, sr. — Scored 12 points and added nine rebounds in a win over Olympia.

Jazmyn Shipp, Bonney Lake girls basketball, jr. — Scored 14 points and added 16 rebounds and three assists in a win over Lakes, had 18 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and five steals in a win over Spanaway Lake, and 14 points and five rebounds in a loss to Lincoln.

Kiara Stone, Bellarmine Prep girls basketball, jr. — Scored a team-high 18 points in a win over Sumner.

Thad TenKley, North Thurston boys basketball, sr. — Scored 15 points and added eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a loss to Timberline, and had 16 points and eight rebounds in a win over Capital.

Ciona Wells, Lincoln girls basketball, jr. — Scored a game-high 18 points in a win over Bonney Lake.
