Winners of The News Tribune’s Athletes of the Week (Nov. 6 to 11)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Athletes of the Week for fall high school sports contests played Nov. 6 to 11. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winners are: Wyatt Neu, Enumclaw football and May Guidoux, Curtis swimming.

The polls are located below each section. You can read about all of the candidates and their accomplishments below.

FOOTBALL

Xavier Ahrens, Curtis — Caught 12 passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Kennedy Catholic.

Brison Bailey, Mount Tahoma — Rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in a win over Ferndale.

Thomas Bevilacqua, Kennedy Catholic — Collected 12 tackles and a sack, and had a quarterback pressure that led to an interception in a win over Curtis.

Kooper Clark, Tumwater — Rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on six carries in a win over Port Angeles.

Navarre Dixon, Emerald Ridge — Rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in an overtime loss to Kamiakin.

Malachi Durant, Graham-Kapowsin — Caught seven passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Richland.

Deonjae Ervin, Mount Tahoma — Caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown, and added 10 tackles on defense in a win over Ferndale.

Tony Harste, Emerald Ridge — Caught 12 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown in an overtime loss to Kamiakin.

Indiana Jones, Kennedy Catholic — Rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries, and added four catches for 40 yards and 14 tackles and a tackle for loss on defense in a win over Curtis.

Rocco Koch, Curtis — Completed 18-of-32 passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns, and added 31 carries for 144 yards and another score in a loss to Kennedy Catholic.

Mason Moriarty, Kennedy Catholic — Rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on six carries in a win over Curtis.

Wyatt Neu, Enumclaw — Rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries in win over Othello.

Colton Paulson, Enumclaw — Had two receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns in win over Othello.

Isaiah Patterson, Yelm — Rushed for two touchdowns, and added seven tackles and a tackle for loss on defense in a win over Marysville-Pilchuck.

Brayden Platt, Yelm — Rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, and added 10 tackles and a tackle for loss on defense in a win over Marysville-Pilchuck.

Tristen Rebar, Sumner — Completed 13-of-18 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown, and added a rushing score in a loss to Eastlake.

Mathias Rodriguez, Tumwater — Rushed for two touchdowns in a win over Port Angeles.

Jake Schakel, Emerald Ridge — Completed 22-of-34 passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns in an overtime loss to Kamiakin.

Daveon Superales, Graham-Kapowsin — Completed 29-of-35 passes for 467 yards and six touchdowns, and added nine carries for 64 yards and another score in a win over Richland.

Gunnar Trachte, Enumclaw — Completed 12-of-16 passes for 180 yards and four touchdowns in win over Othello.

Tre’ Walker, Mount Tahoma — Completed 11-of-15 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown, and added 10 carries for 88 yards and another score in a win over Ferndale.

Kaiden Whitaker, Orting — Rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, and added 12 tackles, a tackle for loss and sack on defense in a win over Washougal.

Jabez Woods, Graham-Kapowsin — Caught 11 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown in a win over Richland.

FALL SPORTS

Alexis Bernardo, Curtis swimming — Collected four podium finishes, including winning the 50 free (24.31) and placing second in the 100 free (53.26), and swam legs of the Vikings’ winning 200 medley relay (1:48.61) and 200 free relay (1:38.83) at the 4A state championship meet.

Sienna Cheng-Lucey, Stadium swimming — Placed sixth in both the 100 free (52.86) and 100 backstroke (56.71), and swam a leg of the Tigers’ fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:50.68) at the 3A state championship meet.

Addison Conner, North Thurston volleyball — Had 13 kills (4.3 per set), seven blocks, 11 digs in sweep of Gig Harbor in 3A District 3/4 championship game.

Avery Cukjati, Curtis volleyball — Had 18 kills, an ace and 16 digs in win over Kennedy Catholic in 4A District 3/4 third-place game.

Rowan Gaul, Tahoma swimming — Placed second in the 50 free (24.56), sixth in the 100 free (54.74) and swam a leg of the Bears’ fourth-place 200 free relay (1:41.87) at the 4A state championship meet.

May Guidoux, Curtis swimming — Collected four podium finishes, including placing sixth in the 100 butterfly (1:00.00) and second in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.47), and swam legs of the Vikings’ winning 200 medley relay (1:48.61) and fourth-place 400 free relay (3:40.25) at the 4A state championship meet.

Ava Lear, Auburn Riverside swimming — Won the 1-meter diving competition (360.10 points) at the 3A state championship meet.

Alexandra Levesh, Enumclaw swimming — Placed fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:00.57) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.43), and swam a leg of the Hornets’ sixth-place 200 medley relay (2:03.8) at the 2A state championship meet.

Trinity Link, Curtis swimming — Collected four podium finishes, including placing third in both the 200 IM (2:10.47) and 100 butterfly (59.27), and swam legs of the Vikings’ winning 200 medley relay (1:48.61) and 200 free relay (1:38.83) at the 4A state championship meet.

Elizabeth Ma, Mount Rainier swimming — Placed third in both the 200 free (1:54.48) and 500 free (5:06.75), and swam a leg of the Rams’ eighth-place 200 free relay (1:43.8) at the 4A state championship meet.

Kaylin Mutoli, Shelton swimming — Collected four podium finishes, including placing fourth in the 200 free (2:02.21) and sixth in the 100 free (55.58), and swam legs of the Highclimbers’ third-place 200 free relay (1:44.70) and second-place 400 free relay (3:52.13) at the 2A state championship meet.

Lelia Ollenburg, Shelton swimming — Collected four podium finishes, including placing eighth in the 200 IM (2:25.57) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:02.1), and swam legs of the Highclimbers’ third-place 200 free relay (1:44.70) and second-place 400 free relay (3:52.13) at the 2A state championship meet.

Kaitlyn Vu, Kennedy Catholic swimming — Won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.38) and swam a leg of the Lancers’ winning 400 free relay (3:35.39) at the 4A state championship meet.

Hailey Weiler, Kennedy Catholic swimming — Won both the 200 IM (2:06.59) and 100 backstroke (55.99), and swam a leg of the Lancers’ winning 400 free relay (3:35.39) at the 4A state championship meet.

Madison Wolfe, Curtis swimming — Placed eighth in the 200 free (1:57.68) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (59.74) and swam a leg of the Vikings’ fourth-place 400 free relay (3:40.25) at the 4A state championship meet.
