Winner of The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week (Jan. 8 to 13)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week for high school sports contests played Jan. 8-13. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Miles Washington, Stadium boys basketball

He scored a team-high 11 points in a loss to Federal Way on Thursday.

Ray Adams, North Thurston boys basketball — Posted a double-double with 23 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, four steals and four blocks in a win over Timberline.

AJ Alexeev, Sound Christian boys basketball — Scored 31 points and added eight rebounds and three steals in a win over Crosspoint.

Omarion Boston, Lincoln boys basketball — Scored a game-high 25 points on 64 percent shooting from the field in loss to Lakes on Tuesday.

Adam Davis, Tahoma boys basketball — Scored 11 points in a win over Kentridge and a game-high 21 points in a win over Mount Rainier.

Dylan Gilderhus, Rogers boys basketball — Scored 18 points and added three rebounds and three assists in a loss to Graham-Kapowsin, and had 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists in a win over Bethel.

Darrell Gipson, Timberline boys basketball — Scored 17 points and added seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks in a loss to North Thurston.

Clay Morgan, Tumwater boys basketball — Scored a game-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers in the first half, and added nine rebounds in win over W.F. West.

Elijah Gillespie, Graham-Kapowsin boys basketball — Sophomore dropped a game-high 26 points and sank nine free throws in the fourth quarter to lift the Eagles over Rogers on Wednesday.

E’lijah McChristian, Lakes boys basketball — Scored 16 points, including eight points a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw in the fourth quarter to lift the Lancers over the Lincoln Abes on Tuesday.

Liam Leonard, Enumclaw boys basketball — Scored a game-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers, in loss to White River on Tuesday.

Zach Luz, Mount Rainier boys basketball — Scored 38 points and added nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Decatur, and had six points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Tahoma.

Tyson Parker, Silas boys basketball — Scored a team-high 21 points in loss to Mount Tahoma.

Ja’Keem Richardson, Rogers boys basketball — Paced Rogers with 18 points in loss to Graham-Kapowsin on Wednesday.

Greg Schmitz, White River boys basketball — Scored a game-high 17 points in nonleague win over W.F. West.

Logan Senon, White River boys basketball — Scored a team-high 16 points in win over rival Enumclaw on Tuesday.

Carter Stonerock, Tahoma boys basketball — Scored 24 points in a win over Kentridge and 11 points in a win over Mount Rainier.

Will Tellis, Todd Beamer boys basketball — Posted a double-double with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds, and added three assists in a win over Auburn Mountainview.

Mason Thomas, Federal Way boys basketball — Scored a game-high 20 points, including eight in the final seven minutes of the game in a win over Stadium on Thursday.

Miles Washington, Stadium boys basketball — Scored a team-high 11 points in loss to Federal Way on Thursday.

Terrence Whiting, Todd Beamer boys basketball — Posted a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over Auburn Mountainview.
