Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Girls Athlete of the Week for high school sports contests played Jan. 29 to Feb. 3. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.
This week’s winner is:
Mary Rush, Auburn wrestling
She won the NPSL tournament in the 120-pound weight class, her fourth straight year winning the league title. Has an overall record of 31-3 this season with 29 wins by pin.

Ava Rice, Bonney Lake basketball — Scored a game-high 2 points in win over Silas on Friday.
Grace Richardson, Peninsula basketball — Scored a game-high 19 points in win over Gig Harbor on Thursday.

DeAndrea Woods-Singleton, Lincoln basketball — Scored 11 points and had seven rebounds in win over Lakes on Wednesday.
