SEMIFINAL RESULTS

No. 10 Rainier Beach 59, No. 4 O’Dea 46

No. 2 Eastside Catholic 55, No. 6 Mount Spokane 53

TERRIFIC TRIO

Jacob Cofie, Eastside Catholic — The 6-foot-10 Virginia commit made his presence felt on both ends of the floor, using his length to alter Mount Spokane shots and help the Crusaders hold the Wildcats to just 37.3 percent shooting from the field. Had a team-high 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Kaden Powers, Rainier Beach — Vikings’ wing scored a game-high 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting, including shooting 4-of-5 from 3-point range in Rainier Beach’s 59-46 win over Metro peer O’Dea. Also had four rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots and a pair of steals.

Ryan Lafferty, Mount Spokane — Will forever wish he had another shot at what would’ve been the game-winning 3-pointer, but stuffed the stat sheet again nonetheless, scoring a game-high 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting against Eastside Catholic. Also had seven rebounds, an assist and three steals.

QUOTABLE

Jacob Cofie, Eastside Catholic: “Me and my team, we do a real job using our length and I feel like no one can stop us when we’re long up in the paint and doing all the good things we do.”

Kaden Powers, Rainier Beach: I’m just proud of my team, man. We came a long way. A lot of people didn’t see us coming this far. We came together. We don’t care about stats, we don’t care about none of that. We’re just playing together.”
