The News Tribune’s 2024 all-state girls basketball team

Every year, the state of Washington produces exceptional basketball talent at the high school level.

Here is The News Tribune’s 2024 all-state girls basketball team, as selected by our high school sports staff.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Guard, 5-11, sr.

Two-time TNT state player of the year was brilliant again in her senior season, averaging 24.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.5 steals a game, leading Garfield to a 21-3 record and the 3A state title. In the state championship game against Mead, poured in a game-high 29 points and had seven rebounds, two assists and four steals, leading Garfield to its fourth consecutive state crown.

MIA BROOM

Lakeside of Seattle

Guard, 5-10, sr.

Columbia commit scored from all over the floor, averaging 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals per game for the Lions. Led Lakeside to the 3A state tournament semifinals and a third-place finish at the Tacoma Dome.

Nooksack Valley

Guard, 5-11, sr.

Three-time league MVP was electric her entire career and this season, leading Nooksack Valley to the 1A state championship in Yakima. Averaged 22.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 3.1 assists per game. Shot 57 percent from the floor on the season. UW commit.

AYLAH CORNWALL

Gonzaga Prep

Guard, 5-7, fr.

The biggest reason Gonzaga Prep advanced all the way to the 4A state championship game was this freshman star, who averaged 20.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.7 steals. Led the Bullpups to a 22-7 record and state runner-up finish at the Tacoma Dome.

Guard, 5-9, sr.

Delivered on every stage for the Panthers, leading Mead to the 3A state tournament’s top seed, a state runner-up finish at the Tacoma Dome and a 25-2 overall record. Averaged 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.5 assists. Boise State commit.

ADDISON HARRIS

Camas

Forward, 6-2, sr.

On a loaded team full of capable scorers, Harris was the brightest star both putting the ball in the hoop and on the glass. Averaged 15.8 points and 7.9 rebounds, shooting 62 percent from the field on the season. Led Camas to the 4A state championship.
