Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week for high school sports contests played March April 1 to 6. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.
This week’s winner is:
Noel Fernandez, Timberline soccer
He scored a three-goal hat trick in a 5-2 win over Peninsula and scored a goal in a win over North Thurston, pushing Timberline’s record to 7-1-1.

Curran Caufield, Puyallup soccer — Freshman scored a stoppage-time goal in 3-2 win over Curtis, handing Curtis its first league loss of the season.
Coltyn Clark, Rogers baseball — Tossed a one-run complete game in 9-1 win over Graham-Kapowsin on Friday, striking out eight.
Jackson Copeland, Puyallup baseball — Hit the game-tying sacrifice fly to left field in 2-1 win over Rogers on Wednesday.
Ian Draper, Rogers baseball — Went 3-for-4 with a walk, RBI and three stolen bases in 9-1 win over Graham-Kapowsin on Friday. Scored the game-tying run in the third inning and keyed a six-run fourth frame with an RBI single to left.
Nick Fazio, Emerald Ridge baseball — Threw a one-run complete game in 2-1 win over Sumner on Wednesday, retiring 21 of 27 batters faced, surrendering just two singles and a walk.
Noel Fernandez, Timberline soccer — Scored a three-goal hat trick in 5-2 win over Peninsula and scored a goal in win over North Thurston, pushing Timberline’s record to 7-1-1.
Logan Judish, Stadium baseball — Drove in four runs in 11-1 win over Lincoln on Wednesday, pushing his season batting average to a team-high .417.
Nate Kimmel, Tahoma baseball — Drew a two-walk walk in eighth inning against Bonney Lake, stealing second and scoring on an overthrow to seal Tahoma’s 3-2 win over Bonney Lake in extra innings on Friday.
Luis Sanchez, Thomas Jefferson baseball — Hit the go-ahead RBI single in the fifth inning in 1-0 win over Silas on Friday.
