Winner of The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week (April 22 to 27)

Ethan Loghry, Kentlake baseball
He threw a complete-game shutout over NPSL rival Auburn on Thursday. Loghry struck out seven, walked one, and surrendered two hits (both singles) in Kentlake’s 3-0 win.

Easton Francis, Charles Wright-Life Christian baseball — In 2-1 win over Vashon Island, tossed seven innings, allowing three hits, one walk, an earned run and striking out 11.
Karsten Hansen, Capital baseball — Struck out nine across six stellar innings over River Ridge on Tuesday. Surrendered four hits and one earned run en route to a 7-1 win.
Adam Jay, Tahoma baseball — Bears starter posted six strong frames (6 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 10 K) and reached in all four plate appearances, going 3-for-3 with a walk in Tahoma’s 12-3 win over Kentridge on Saturday.
Ethan Loghry, Kentlake baseball — Threw a complete-game shutout over NPSL rival Auburn on Thursday. Struck out seven, walked one, and surrendered two hits (both singles) in Kentlake’s 3-0 win.
Drew Macdonald, Steilacoom baseball — Lined a bases-clearing triple to center field that opened the floodgates in Steilacoom’s 12-2 win over Fife on Wednesday. Finished 2-for-4 with four RBI, a walk, and run scored.
Jacob Nadeau, Timberline baseball — Went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double in Timberline’s 8-2 win over SSC-rival Peninsula on Wednesday.
Mason Pike, Puyallup baseball — Twirled six strong innings over South Kitsap in Puyallup’s 6-1 win on Tuesday. Struck out 11 and issued one walk. Surrendered five hits and one earned run.
Tristan Ringrose, Puyallup baseball — Went 2-for-5 with three RBI in Puyallup’s 9-3 win over Sumner that clinched a remarkable 17th straight 4A SPSL title for the Vikings.
Talan Robertson, Rogers baseball — Tossed a one-run complete game in a 2-1 win over Curtis on Friday. Surrendered seven hits, struck out six, and walked two.
Landon Smith, Silas baseball — Doubled twice and finished 3-for-4 with an RBI in Silas’ 10-7 win over Bonney Lake on Wednesday.
Tanner Solinsky, Emerald Ridge baseball — Launched two home runs in Emerald Ridge’s 9-6 win over contending Sumner on Tuesday. Kept a scorching-hot pace Saturday, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a walk. In two wins, the outfielder went a combined 6-for-8 with eight RBI, five runs, and two homers.
Orlando Young, Federal Way baseball — Fanned 10 batters across a 5 ⅔-inning, one-hit shutout over Kennedy Catholic on Friday. Went 1-for-3 with an RBI double at the plate in Federal Way’s 5-0 win.
