Winner of The News Tribune’s Athlete of the Week (Nov. 11 to 16)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Athlete of the Week for contests played between Nov. 11-16. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Hoku Mose, Curtis soccer

Mose, a junior defender, scored the game-winning goal off Olivia Lorella’s corner kick to lift Curtis over Sumner in double overtime, 1-0, in Saturday’s 4A state girls soccer quarterfinals.

Bryson Allen, Franklin Pierce football — Junior RB took 16 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown in Franklin Pierce’s 40-21 state win over East Valley.

Maurice Gosby Jr., Lincoln football — Senior RB exploded for 233 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries, adding three receptions for 22 yards (255 scrimmage) in Lincoln’s 34-28 state win over Central Valley.

Derek Colman-Brusa, Kennedy Catholic football — Had seven tackles and four assisted tackles, including two sacks and four tackles for loss in win over Richland.

Mikkah Cordero, Mount Tahoma football — T-Birds’ QB completed 9-of-16 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown, and rushed four times for 18 yards and two touchdowns in win over Decatur.

Felix Diaz, Mount Tahoma football — Had 18 carries for 87 yards in win over Decatur on Friday. On defense, had 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss and two sacks.

Steele Isaacs, Sumner football — The definition of workhorse, Isaacs put the Spartans offense on his back with 36 carries for 209 yards and three touchdowns in Sumner’s 38-21 state win over Kamiakin.

Indiana Jones, Kennedy Catholic football — Bell-cow RB took 28 carries for 158 yards and three touchdowns, adding five receptions for 50 yards in Kennedy Catholic’s statement win over Richland.

Sione Kaho, Lincoln football — Abes QB completed 16-of-22 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions to guide Lincoln over Central Valley, 34-28, in the 3A State Round of 16. He carried five times for 10 yards.

Toetu Moliga, Lakes football — Sophomore RB/LB impacted both sides of the football with 13 carries for 84 rushing yards and two touchdowns, along with a two-point conversion run and lost fumble. On defense, tackled four (one TFL) in state-tournament loss to Seattle Prep.

Jaylin Nixon, Tumwater football — T-Birds RB took 10 carries for 103 rushing yards and a touchdown in Tumwater’s 44-0 state win over Cedarcrest.

Michael Pulalasi, Lakes football — Sophomore LB tackled 11 (one TFL) in state-tournament loss to Seattle Prep.

Mekhi Richardson, Tumwater football — Senior DL tackled 11 with two sacks, three TFL, and a blocked kick in Tumwater’s shutout win over Cedarcrest.

Cash Short, Tumwater football — Senior LB/RB erupted for 135 rushing yards and three touchdowns on eight carries, adding eight tackles and a TFL in Tumwater’s 44-0 state win over Cedarcrest.

Junior Teregeyo, Franklin Pierce football — Senior RB handled 12 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns, including a 67-yard burst in 40-21 state win over East Valley.

Malijah Tucker, Tumwater football — Senior DL tackled nine with three sacks and two TFL in Tumwater’s state win over Cedarcrest.
